Back Pack Give Away

In partnership with the Summer Adventure Program of the City of Muskegon, Sacred Suds mobilized the energy of 20 of our neighborhood youngsters to prepare over $800 worth of school supplies and backpacks to be given to families in need in McLaughlin Neighborhood. The youngsters themselves are all residents of McLaughlin Neighborhood, and they were happy to give the new backpacks to people in their neighborhood. It’s great that we create opportunities for neighbors to serve neighbors, and anytime you can get the youth involved in community service projects, you’re doing good work, commented Norma York-Bremer, Board President of Sacred Suds. Entire families, some of them with five and six kids, lined up outside of Sacred Suds to receive backpacks that would, according to one parent, get their kids looking sharp for the beginning of the school year. He added, If you don’t look sharp, you don’t think sharp. Sacred Suds is looking forward to seeing some good report cards this year!!
