Community enCompass is a neighborhood development organization serving the core-city neighborhoods of Muskegon. We are a small, local organization working in the following four areas:
HOUSING, YOUTH, NEIGHBORING and FOOD.

Community enCompass - Housing

Community enCompass believes that stable housing is fundamental to a neighbors ability to be and achieve their best, as well as an indication of community stability. That's why we’re dedicated to creating affordable, quality housing and eradicating homelessness in Muskegon. For many of our working neighbors, the cost of housing is too high, and the quality too low. Many like Frank are just one unexpected situation away from losing everything.

Comunity enCompass - Food

Community enCompass is dedicated to bringing locally grown, fresh produce to core-city Muskegon. Veggies grown by neighbors, for neighbors, in the neighborhood. A lack of grocery stores in the city means a lack of fresh, affordable, healthy food for neighbors like Nina, leading to high levels of chronic illness like diabetes and heart disease. We need to know what healthy food is and where it comes from!

Community enCompass - Neighboring

Community enCompass is all about creating spaces and places where good neighboring happens. In partnership with neighbors, Community enCompass provides neighbors like Bob basic services like affordable laundry, toiletries, and internet access at our “Third Space” community center, Sacred Suds. At Sacred Suds there is a vibrant community of neighbors from all walks of life helping each other out. Every tax season there are volunteers who bring thousands of dollars back into the community through free tax preparation!

I am Neighbor, You are Neighbor, we are Neighbor!
