Community enCompass has started an Endowment Build-A-Fund at the Community Foundation for Muskegon County to help continue the work it is doing in the McLaughlin Neighborhood in downtown Muskegon.

A faith-based ministry, Community enCompass was formed this year when Bethany Housing Ministries and Sacred Suds merged.

Sarah Rinsema-Sybenga, who is director of the organization, said there is still need for donations to support operations, but "we also welcome help in building our endowment fund so that we're here walking alongside neighbors for years to come."

Community enCompass is a Christian Community Development Organization. Its mission is "to empower people and build community in the McLaughlin Neighborhood area by sharing God's love, as we walk alongside neighbors, seeking justice and a better quality of life for all through long-term, sustainable changes."

To donate, send checks to Community Foundation for Muskegon County, 425 W. Western, Suite 200, Muskegon 49440. Donate online at www.cffmc.org. Community enCompass' headquarters is at 1105 Terrace. For information, call (231) 728-3117 or e-mail info@communityencompass.org.
