YEP! After School Center

"Empowering the youth to become Leaders now, while forever changing their future, as they become Pillars of Society"

The Youth Empowerment Project 'After School Center' is more than an After School Center.  It’s a place where academically sound high school students teach 3rd – 6th grade students the fundamentals of math and English, build the elementary students’ confidence, and reach academic excellence.  At the After School Center the students also explore science and music, theater and dance as well as geography.  Then in the summer, the students attend our 8 week summer C.A.T.C.H. Camp program.  They learn core values, teamwork and participate in visual arts, sports week, nutrition, dance and gardening.  Only to end the week with a field trip to places like the White Caps ball game, Michigan Adventure, The Culinary Institute of Michigan, Alcoa Splash Park, Silver Lake Dune Rides, Craig’s Cruiser and the list goes on.  This is a place where academics excel, mentoring happens naturally and students are treated like family.  Building a greater future for our youth academically leading to a lifetime of change.
